Florence Lucille Jarrett Yeager, 92 of Newton died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Abernethy Laurels in Newton. Born January 8, 1921 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Quincy Adam Jarrett and Jennie Leola Fulbright Jarrett. For over 50 years, Lucille was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of First United Methodist Church in Newton. For over 30 years she was an inspector and supervisor for Western Electric Telephone, retiring in 1980. Five nephews, Robert W. Jarrett, John N. Jarrett, Joe D. Jarrett, Roger K. Rader and Kenneth Yeager; 10 nieces, Jeanne J. Scronce, Betty J. Montalbano, Kay J. Accordino, Beth J. Barr, Jennifer L. Jarrett, Celia J. Hastead, Janice J. Williams, Marie R. Sipe, Shirley, D. Moller and Shirley Syner survive her. In addition to her parents; her husband, Charles L. Yeager; four brothers, John Logan Jarrett, Ralph Harvey Jarrett, Joseph Daniel Jarrett and Wayne Eugene Jarrett; three sisters, Maude Marie Rader, Mary Elizabeth Hansen and Blanche Gaynelle Hewitt; and a nephew, Joe Rader preceded her in death. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Spirit Place at Abernethy Laurels in Newton. Chaplain Lawrence R. Bolick will officiate. A private burial will be at St. Paul?s Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Old Church Restoration Fund at St. Paul?s Reformed Church, 3562 Startown Road Newton, NC 28658.
