Frances Lucy Riley, 89 of Hickory passed away Thursday, October 29th, 2015 at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born August 9th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William Lail and Minnie Stamey. Frances was a life long member of Longview Baptist Church, Polio Survivor and Mother of the year many times at her Church.
A daughter Gail Lail and husband Johnny of Conover; four sons Jim Riley and wife Mert of Newton, Johnny Riley of Hickory, Harvey Riley and wife Barbara of Hickory, Jerry Riley and wife Denise of Lenoir; four sisters Evelyn Anderson of Hickory, Ola Mae Bridgeman of Jacksonville, FL, Betty Beck of Thomasville, Shirley Teague of Hickory; 14 grand children; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren survive her.
In addition to her parents; her late husband of 55 years William James Riley; her daughter Helen Riley Church; a grandson Eric Scott Lail and her brother Paul M. Lail preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 3:00 pm Monday, November 2nd, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Larry B. Reese officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Monday, November 2nd, 2015 at the funeral home.
