Frankie Violet Flowers Herman, 93 of Hickory, went to her Heavenly home Sunday, July 13th, 2014 at Trinity Ridge. Born October 22nd, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Grace Flowers. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church. Frankie was active for over twenty years, helping others through the AA, Al-anon, and Alateen programs and, a Clown for Christ (Scrubbles) in the Giggle Gang ministry. A daughter Carolyn Wallace of Conover; a son Donald Herman and wife Beth of Newton; five grand-children, April Wesolowski and husband Scott, Brian Herman, Amy Sims and husband Kelly, Brad Rhoney and wife Stacey, and Curt Rhoney; four great grand-children, Devin Sigman, Kelsea Watts, Barrett Rhoney, Sophia Rhoney; one great, great grand-child Solomon Sigman; a number of nieces and nephews; two sister in laws, Ruby Abernathy & Frances Anderson; and two brother in laws, Jimmy Herman & Phil Herman survive her. In addition to her beloved husband Leonard Ralph Herman; her parents J.E Flowers and wife Grace; two sister?s Doris Punch & Mary Alice Eggers; a brother J.C. Bud Flowers; and a son in law, Jack Wallace preceded her in death. The funeral will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 16th, 2014 at Christ Church, Mountain View with Pastor Dana McKim and Greg McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
