Franklin Harris

Franklin Sevier Harris, 43 of Texas, formerly of Hickory, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Texas. Born January 21, 1969 in Florida, he was the son of Delbert "Del" Franklin Harris and Beverly Jane Morrow Harris of Hickory. Franklin was a 1987 graduate of Fred T. Foard High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a chef in Greensboro. In addition to his parents, his brother, Mark Harris and wife, Elizabeth of Woodbridge, VA; and his maternal grandmother, Edna Ball Morrow of Hickory; and two nephews, William and Johnathan Harris survive him. The Memorial Service will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA), 925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
