Franklin Jackson McMurry, 71, of Maiden passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at Carolina Caring. Born January 26th, 1952 he was the son of the late Bartley Jackson McMurry and Nellie McMurry.
Frankie enjoyed watching races, Westerns, and game shows. He loved his horses and his motorcycle.
He is survived by his daughter Sonya Singletary and son-in-law Phillip Singletary of Conover, his grandchildren Camden Singletary, Ty Singletary, Jasmine Singletary, Jayden Singletary, and John Singletary, all of Conover, his siblings Jerry McMurry of Lincolnton, Bobby McMurry (and wife Gaye) of Granite Falls, Becky Mull (and husband Darrel) of Maiden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Peggy McMurry Gates, brother Charles McMurry, and sister-in-law Judy Little McMurry.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM Friday, April 7th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
The funeral will be 12:30 PM Friday, April 7th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3537 Maiden Hwy, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
Memorials may be made to hospice at Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd Building 3, Suite A, Newton, NC 28658.
