Frederick Mungro

Once again, the heavenly bound train stopped in Hickory Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, and Frederick ""Fred Fred"" Mungro, 50, stepped on board.

Frederick Mungro was born Dec. 6, 1970, in Catawba County, to the late, Willie Joe Mungro Sr. and Ruby Beatty Mungro. Frederick Mungro departed this life at Frye Regional Medical Center, after a short illness.

A public viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home & Crematory located at 4081 Startown Rd. in Newton.

Due to COVID-19, a private Homegoing service for the family and close friends will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 338 E. D. St. in Newton, Saturday, Sept. 25, starting at 2 p.m.

Family and friends will be received at Frederick Mungro's home located at 1071 Windy Hill Drive NW in Conover, beginning Monday, Sept. 20.
