Gail Barbara Gibel, 82, of Newton passed away peacefully Friday, May 25, 2018 at Sherrill’s Ford Hospice House. Born February 16, 1936, in Salem, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Grant and Mae MacCracken.
Gail was retired from the Small Business Administration and spent her retirement enjoying her family, friends and her furry feline companions. In her youth, she enjoyed horseback riding and roller skate dance competitions. Her amusing enthusiasm on life always made everyone laugh, bringing joy into their lives.
Gail was preceded in death by her son Lawrence Dean Gibel. She is survived by her brother Richard and wife Debra MacCracken; son John Gibel; and daughter Bobbi G. Grandchildren: Jessica Lynne and husband W. Ryan Blythe; Tiffany and Scott Strong. Great-grandchildren: Chloe and William (Liam) Blythe; and Wade Strong. Nephew: Grant MacCracken. Niece: Ashley and husband Carl Woods. Great-niece and nephews: Bryce; MaKaylah and Kolsen Woods.
