Garnett Cline

Garnett Hugh "Gus" Cline, 75 of Newton died Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 at his home. Born September 23rd, 1940 he was the son of the late Hubert and Leanza Cline. Two daughters, Vickie Frye and husband Darell of Hiddenite, Kathy Hannah of Newton; two sons Kenny Cline and wife Naz of Newton, and Jimmie Cline and wife Tracy of Newton; two sisters Lorraine Blair and husband Leroy of West Virginia, Pansy Price and husband Bill of Arizona; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive him. In addition to his parents; his wife of 54 years, Violet Rose Hammonds Cline; a sister Nancy Fuller; and a brother Mason Cline preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:30 pm Thursday, January 14th, 2016 at Fairview Baptist Church at 3614 Wilfong Road Newton, NC 28658 with Pastor John Mays officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 pm Thursday, January 14th, 2016 at Fairview Baptist Church.
