Gary Beatty

Gary Maynard Beatty, 73, of Newton passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born, January 29th, 1950 he was the son of James Terrell Beatty and Pauline Elizabeth Duncan.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Setzer of Newton; his brother, James Terrell Beatty Jr. of Conover; three grandchildren, Caitlyn Taylor Beatty, Garrett Blake Setzer, and Sara Madeline Setzer; a great grandchild, Jasper Rose Miller; and a host of many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Gary Dale Beatty; his siblings, Peggy Jo Everheardt, William David Beatty.

The family will receive friends from 1-2PM Friday, January 5, 2023 in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. The memorial service will follow at 2PM in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Deal officiating the service.
