Gary Causby

Gary Lee Causby, 73, of Connelly Springs died Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Gateway Rehab after a period of declining health. Born February 11th, 1949 he was the son of the late Mattie Mae Causby. Gary was a graduate of Valdese High School class of 1967 and was an active member of Connelly Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Gary delivered the Hickory Daily Record for forty three years and loved fishing, golfing and visiting with his friends and family.

His son, Bryan Causby and wife Crystal; mother of Bryan, Nancy Causby; two sisters, Judy Causby and Vera Duncan and husband Johnny; his grandson, pastor Aaron Causby and wife Allison; two great-grandchildren, Elisha and Graham Causby and numerous neices, nephews, cousins and friends survive him.

In addition to his mother, his grandparents, William Otis Causby and Beulah Causby preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Connelly Springs Freewill Baptist Church with pastor Aaron Causby officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church and burial will follow at the church cemetery.
