Gary Richards

Gary Eugene Richards,62 of Catawba died Saturday, December 13th, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born April 3rd, 1952 in Jackson, WV, he was the son of Gilbert Richards and the late Mary Nelson Richards. He was employed by Broyhill Furniture Company for many years. He enjoyed helping and doing things for others. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed rabbit hunting with his dogs and watching TV. Gary was a kind, simple man whom lived a simple life. His father, Gilbert Richards of Catawba, two brothers, Jerry Lewis Richards and Ricky Wayne Richards and wife Carolyn of Catawba; a sister, Sandra Posten and husband Roger of Charleston, WV; four nephews, two great nieces and two great nephews survive him. In addition to his mother, a brother, Terry Dean Richards preceded him in death. The funeral will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joel Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
