Gary Robinson

Mr. Gary Lynn "Boot" Robinson was born in Newton, NC on March 11, 1971 to the late Grover "Bosco" Robinson, Jr. and the residing Rosie Robinson both from Newton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evyonne Robinson and a brother David Robinson.

Gary graduated from Newton-Conover High School in 1989, where he was a standout athlete for the Red Devils. He went on to further his education at several colleges and universities including Mars Hill, Lees McRae and Lenoir-Rhyne. Gary obtained his Bachelor degree with High Point University, focusing on Computer Information Systems and a master degree with Queens University in Charlotte, NC in finance. Gary dedicated 27 years of his life at (formally) First Union Bank, (formally) Wachovia Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, ending his career as the VP and Manager for Equity Trades with Wells Fargo Securities. Gary held financial security certificates (Series 7, 24,55 and 63) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to trade stocks on NASDAQ.

Left to cherish the memories of his life are his two daughters Jaquala Lashea Hewitt of Newton, NC, Ajah Nicole Harold of Winston-Salem, NC, son Kingsley Richardson of Tega Cay, SC, brother William Robinson and his wife Kollyan both of Charlotte, NC, step-mother Trudy Robinson from Newton, NC, two step-brothers; Derick and Richard Mullen both from Brooklyn, NY, two nephews, Davian (Tamara) and Tre (Gale) Robinson both from Charlotte, NC, five nieces, Ebony Cambell (Dominic), Chelsea Powell both from Newton, NC, Deja Robinson of Virginia Beach, VA, Khmya and Aaliyah Robinson both from Charlotte, NC and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be 2:00pm, Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Jenkins Funeral Home, 4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, Newton, NC..
