Gary Vincent Watson 59 of Hickory died Saturday, March 24th, 2018 surrounded by his family at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born February 8th, 1959 he was the son of the late John and Martha Watson. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a wonderful husband and father.
His loving wife of 13 years, Sharon Watson of the home, a son, John Watson of the home; a daughter, Candace Holmes and husband Robert of Newton; a grandson, Kaiden Holmes of Newton; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Norman Talbert of Hickory; four sisters, Vivian Glover and husband Leslie of Cedar Bluff, VA, Linda Shannon and husband Jim of Cedar Bluff, VA, Katherine Powers and husband Randy of Paintlick, VA, Della Watson of Cedar Bluff, VA; a brother, Lincoln Watson and wife Rhonda of Richlands, VA; several nieces and nephews all of VA survive him.
A Memorial Service will be 6:00 pm Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Betty Talbert officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
