Gay Crowder

Gay Crowder, 77, of Newton died Friday, March 9th, 2018 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born September 16th, 1940 he was the son of the late Lewis Crowder and Susie Fisher Crowder.
In addition to his wife of 56 years Carolyn Crowder; a daughter Lisa Royal and husband Alan of Savannah, GA; three sisters Louise Isaacs of Burnsville, Barbara Honnycutt and husband Kermit of Burnsville, Dottie Boone and husband Charles of Newton; three brothers Dallas Crowder and wife Geneva of Hayesville, Elbert Crowder and wife Elva of Burnsville, Joe Crowder and wife Patrica of Marion; and a number of nieces and nephews survive him.
Mr. Crowder is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Susie Crowder; a son Tim Crowder; a sister Lottie Crowder; three brothers Buster Crowder, George Crowder, Tom Crowder; two step sisters Opal Tipton, Foey Wilson;and step brothers Bill Crowder, Tylie Crowder, Doug Crowder, Lloyd Crowder, and L.D. Crowder
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 17th, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor William Church officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Chapel of Memories of Jenkins Funeral Home Niche Garden.
The family will receive friends following the service.
