Gaynell Thompson

 Gaynell Robinson Thompson 71, of Boot Hill Road, Hickory died on February 25, 2009 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.Born November 28, 1937 in Russell County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Kemper William and Mary Bell Watson Robinson.  She was a home-maker, a licensed realtor and devout Christian. A daughter, Mary â??Shellyâ? Greer of Hickory; two sons, Michael Thompson and wife Teresa of Hickory; Jack Gregory Thompson and wife Karen of Sanford, Florida; a brother Billy Joe Robinson of Warner Robbins, Georgia; 6 grand-children; one great-grand child survive her. Her husband Michael A. Thompson; brothers, Johnny D. Robinson and Cecil Robinson preceded her in death. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia.  Condolences messages may be sent to www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net. The Thompson family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Newton.Â
