George Walton

George Emanuel Walton, 60, of Taylorsville, NC passed away Saturday, September 14th, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. He was born July 5, 1959 and grew up in Connelly Springs, NC. He attended East Burke High School and also served in the United States Army.

George, or Mandy as most called him, was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Jeanette Carson Walton.

Mandy had a gigantic heart, gentle and fun demeanor and a smile that would light up a room. He is survived by a   daughter and granddaughter, Brandy and Camille Walton of Hickory; two sisters, Evon Walton of Cleveland, OH and Rita Walton of Conover, NC; four brothers; Cleveland Walton Jr. of Cleveland, OH, Clifton (Cynthia) Walton of Hickory, NC, Darren Walton of Cherryville, NC, and Christopher Nathan Walton of Valdese, NC. He also leaves behind a host of   nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 pm Wednesday September 25, 2019 at the Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
