George Douglas Webb 79 of Claremont died Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 at Gordon House Hospice. Born Sunday, December 10th, 1939 he was the son of Samuel Willis Webb and Pauline Webb. He was a Godly man who loved his grandchildren and family. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, working with his hands and going to the mountains and the beach.
His daughter, Anita Higgs and husband Floyd of Claremont; two grandsons, Jeffrey Adam Higgs and Kevin Douglas Higgs; two sisters, Sheila Bell of Claremont and Martha Rae Frye of Conover and a brother, Roland Webb and wife Carol of Birmingham, AL survive him.
The funeral will be 3:00 pm Friday, January 11th, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm Friday January 11, 2019 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
