Gerald Smetzer

Gerald "Jerry" Richard Smetzer 84 of Maiden and formerly of Ohio, died November 19, 2020 at his home. Born May 27th, 1936 he was the son of the late Norman Ervin Smetzer and Winifred Alma Rife Smetzer. He was a Past Commander of the Port Clinton Power Squadron and was District 29 Treasurer. He was a co- founder and partner of the Maumae Valley Appraisal Company and worked for Shell Oil for 25 years.
His wife, Gwen Ann Smetzer of the home; a daughter Dana Olson and husband Scott of Terrell, NC; two sons, Todd Smetzer of Maiden and Steven Smetzer and wife Sandie of Bowling Green, OH; a sister, Barbara Clark of Bellvue, OH; four grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Murphy and Indiana survive him.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
