Giselle Daniela Hernandez-Martinez 14, of Conover died Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at UNC Children's Hospital. Born February 10th, 2004 she was the daughter of Fortino Hernandez-Martinez and Carolina Martinez.
Giselle was an eighth grade student at Newton-Conover Middle School. She enjoyed singing, swimming and participating in arts and crafts. At school, she would often help her classmates by interpreting for non-English speaking students. She was loved by her friends, family and teachers.
Her parents, Fortino Hernandez-Martinez and Carolina Martinez of Conover; a sister, Stephanie Hernandez of the home; two brothers, Jesus Hernandez and Jose Hernandez both of the home survive her.
The Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father James Collins officiating. Burial will be 5:00 pm Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at Jenkins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
