Gladys Holden

Gladys Hazel Holden 86 of Hickory died Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice.  Born August 13th, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Tway and Mary Estelle Cornette.  Most of her life she worked in the furniture manufacturing business.  Four daughters; Joyce Wright of Granite Falls, Wilma Huffman and husband Jack of Statesville, Robin Greene and husband Bob of Panama City Beach, Florida, Sherry Shannon and husband Dave of Hickory, a son; Albert Church and wife Mickey of Prescott, Arizona, a sister; Della Jones of Lansing, NC, two brothers; Bobby Cornette and Bradley Cornette both of Lenoir, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild survive her. Husbands; Ancil Blanie Church and Byron Jordan Holden both preceded her in death. The funeral will be  Friday, July 14th, 2017 at 3 pm at  Unity Lutheran in Hickory, with Pastor Chris Thompson  officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens also in Hickory.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 at the church, Friday, July 14, 2017.
