Glenda Cherry

Glenda Janette Cherry 79 of Lincolnton died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her home. Born July 27th, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Hosey Carpenter and Ethel Eunice Ballard.

A daughter Lynn Cherry Bentley (Billy); son Brian Keith Cherry; sister Patricia Daniel and Bobbie Jane Hovis; 5 grand children, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, survive her.

In addition to her parents, her husband Billy Lamar Cherry I; son Billy Lamar Cherry II; brothers Clarence Carpenter, Odell Carpenter, Jesse "Toad" Carpenter, and James "Bub" Carpenter; sisters Letha (Dink) Motz and Lena (Bonnie) Thornburg, preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Temple Baptist Church in Lincolnton.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the church.
