Glenn Winfred Mays, 89, of Hickory, passed away Saturday, May 20th , 2023 at Carolina Caring. Born, May 15th, 1934 he was the son of the late James Columbus Mays and Annie Louise Mays.
He is survived by a son, Ray Mays (Gail) of Hickory; a daughter, Gina Mays Rogers (Tom) of Hickory; a step-son, John Rothrock (Lynn) of Hudson; five grandchildren, Kandra (Ed), Tim (Amanda), Rylan, Christa and Billy; six great-grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Alora, Elijah, Annabelle, and Caleb.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Mays.
The family will receive friends from 11AM-11:45AM, Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
The memorial service will be at 11:45AM in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Major David Repass officiating the service. A graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, located at 3120 Falling Creek Rd, Hickory, NC 28601.
