Grace Williams

Grace Johnson Williams 80 of Hickory died Saturday April 20th, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born May 24th,1932 she was the daughter of the late Roby Franklin Johnson and Sarah Myers Johnson. Grace was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. All of her many nieces, and nephews always proclaimed that she was their ?favorite Aunt.? Everyone who ever met her always said, ?She is just the sweetest thing!? A daughter,Sandi Williams Dingler and husband Stephen of Newton; two brothers, Joseph Shirl Johnson and wife Rachel of Taylorsville and Roby Silas Johnson and wife Jan of Oxen Hill, MD; four grandchildren, Bryan Stephen Dingler and wife Candace of Hickory, Taryn Dingler Lynch and husband Thomas of Newton, Danny "Skip" Gale Williams,Jr. of Elkin and Misty Williams Higgins and husband Matthew of N. Wilkesboro; six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren survive her. Her husband, Gale L. Williams; two sons, Danny Gale Williams and Aaron Dwyne Williams; two sisters, Barbara Mae Drews and Ruth Coffey; six brothers, John Daniel Johnson, Isaac Nathaniel Johnson, Granville Johnson, Paul Johnson, Ralph Johnson and David Johnson preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:30 pm Tuesday April 23rd, 2013 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Kyker officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
