Gregory Sumpter

Gregory LaDon Sumpter, 42 of Hickory died Monday, April 13th, 2015 at his residence. Born September 1st, 1972 he was the son of Cletus Sumpter and Margaret Reid Sumpter. His life companion, Gina Reel of the home; a son, Tyler Sumpter and wife Candice of Hickory; a daughter, Ashley Hare of Hickory; two sisters, Dale Smith of Hickory and Phyllis Hare and husband Billy of Hildebran; three brothers, Bruce Hilton of Hildebran, Tim Sumpter of Hickory, Latt Hilton and wife Cathy of Granite Falls; a granddaughter, Riley Sumpter survives him. Four brothers, Jeffery and Scotty Sumpter, Steve and Michael Hilton preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Rector officiating.
