Hazel Virginia Wallace, 82, of Newton, NC, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Thursday, February 1st, 1940 she was the daughter of Charles Andrew and Virgie Estelle Barnette Gibson.
Hazel is survived by her son, John Wallace and was preceded in death by Wesley A. Wallace, son.
Hazel loved dancing at the American Legion. She also loved Boo-Boo her Schipperke and her cats, especially Nosey. She had a big heart; she loved a lot of people, and westerns. She will be remembered because she also liked to laugh.
There will be no service, at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate it if donations were made to the Hickory Soup Kitchen. Thank you.
