Henry Lynn Bollinger, Jr., age 55, passed away January 16, 2017, following a long period of declining health. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lynn Bollinger, Sr.; grandmothers Leola Browning, Ruth Duckworth Bollinger; grandfathers Charlie Benefield and John Henry Bollinger. He is survived by his wife, Cammy Wilkinson Bollinger, originally of Lincolnton. Born April 5, 1961 in Morganton, he attended Zion Baptist Church. Growing up in Morganton, he loved the history of our town. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting arrowheads and planting flowers. Henry worked for several construction companies and was employed by by David Miller Construction. He helped build and improve many homes in Burke County and surrounding areas. Henry and Cammy enjoyed camping and outdoor music festivals. At one of these festivals is where their journey as a couple started over 10 years ago. He enjoyed watching the history channel and watching NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife, Cammy; three children, Jessica Church of Granite Falls, Sean and wife Kimberly Bollinger of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brittany and husband Chris Shehan in Morganton; two stepchildren, Stephanie Turner and Brandon Sain of Kings Mountain; mother Charlie Beth Miller and stepfather Robert Miller, and stepbrother Robert Wayne Miller, all of Morganton; sister Penny Bollinger Moody of Morganton; grandchildren Ariel, Sophia, Anna, Eli, and Layleigh. The memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday January 27, 2017 at Zion Baptist Church with Pastors Keith Rose and Stephen Collins officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 until 4:00 pm prior to the service. Memorials can be mailed to Zion Baptist Church, 3394 Pea Ridge Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
