Henry Ford Taylor 88, of Kings Mountain died Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born December 4th, 1928 he was the son of the late Thomas Taylor and Josie Craig Taylor. Henry retired from Wix Filters of Gastonia after 35 years of service. he was also a great chainsaw operator. Henry taught his oldest grandson to run a chainsaw. Henry loved traveling to the Mountains and sometimes to the beach. In 2001 he flew to Alaska with his wife Johnnie by his side. In addition to his wife Johnnie Taylor; two daughters Rita Diehl and husband Tim of Lincolnton, Ann Storey and husband Larry of Myrtle Beach, SC; a step daughter Debbie Dixon and husband Harold of the home; a step son Robert Burgess of Newton; five grandsons; a granddaughter; and three little great grand daughters survive him. The funeral will be 4:00pm Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at Trinity Church of The Living God in Kings Mountain with Pastor Darrell Alexander officiating. Trinity Church of The Living God

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at the Church. Memorials may be made to to the family to help with the cost of a grave marker.
