Howard Proctor

 Howard Junious Proctor 65, of Hwy 10 West, Hickory, died Thursday, March 12, 2009. Born January 29, 1944 in Catawba County he was the son of the late Katie Vally Smith Proctor and Clarence Evin Proctor. A daughter, Katie Coleen Stamper of Lincolnton; two sons, Michael and Stacy Proctor, both of Lincolnton; two sisters, Virgie Proctor Stallings of the home, Wilma Proctor Steen of Bennettsville, SC; two brothers, Eugene Proctor of Maiden and Billy Ray Proctor of Lincolnton; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren survive him. Two half sisters; Edith Proctor Wilson and Liza Proctor Wright and one brother; Everette Proctor precede him in death. Howard was an avid fisherman and gardener. A celebration of life will be 6:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Open Word Holiness Church, 3153 Blackburn School Road in Newton. Pastor Matthew Sparks will officiate.
