Jack Conner

Jack Alexander Conner 79 of Newton died Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center. Born August 23rd, 1938 he was the son of the late Freeman Conner and Nellie Brown Conner. He was owner operator in the trucking industry for over 50 years.  A daughter, Diane Conner of Newton; three sons, Doug Conner and wife Kelly of Conover, Roger Conner and wife Lori of Conover and Scott Conner and wife Cindy of Newton; two brothers, Jerry Conner of Saluda, NC and Pat Conner of Old Fort; two sisters, Peggy Davis of Old Fort and Karen Harris of Old Fort; six grandchildren, Matt Conner, Jordan Conner, Alex Conner, Kristin Conner, Heather Hansley and husband Zack and Madison Conner and a great grandchild, Rylee St. Louis survive him.  His wife, Frances Wilson Conner preceded him in death. The memorial service will be 4:00 pm Friday, September 8th, 2017 at Springs Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 pm Friday, September 8th, 2017 at the church.   Memorials may be made to Springs Road Baptist Church 3580 Springs Road NE, NC 28601.
