Jack Seter

Jack Clark Seter, 81 of Hurricane Hill Road, Granite Falls died Wednesday, October 06, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born June 14, 1929, he was the son of the late Anthony Nicolas Seter and Edna Clark Seter. Jack was a self employed truck driver for five years; worked with W&L Motor Lines & Old Dominion, in addition he worked for Gaines Motor Lines for 10 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 48. In addition to his wife of 58 years; Hazel Lean Carpenter Seter of the home; a daughter, Hazel Seter Carl & husband Thomas of High Point; three sons, Jack Calvin Seter & wife Elaine of Granite Falls, Paul Seter & wife Hilda of Conover, Brady Seter & wife Renae of Hickory; 12 grand-children, Elizabeth, Michelle, Kristi, Adam, Eric, Elaine, Jackie, Michael, Justin, Colt, Courtney, Elizabeth and 10 great, grand-children survive him. A Celebration of Jack’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at New Vision Baptist Fellowship in Granite Falls. The Rev. Carl Hamm will officiate. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #48. Pallbearers will be; Adam Seter, Eric Seter, Jeff Huggins, Michael Seter, Brady Seter and Colt Seter. Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Seter. The family will receive friends will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel in Startown Road in Newton.
