James Larry Childers, 80, of Newton, died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Lutheran Home Hickory West. Born August 8th, 1941 he was the son of James Bard Childers and Dorothy June (Campbell) Childers.
His children, Lisa Carrier of South Carolina and James Richard Childers of Ohio; his siblings Rowena Childers of Taylorsville, John Wayne Childers of Hiddenite, Ann C. Sloan (Lynn) as well as six grandchildren and thirteen great-grand children survive him.
In addition to his parents, James infant brother, Richard Childers as well as his sister, Kay C. Ashley preceded him in death.
