Special thanks goes to his amazing caregivers Kenny Wallace, Africa Willet, and Darryl Foust. He also has a host of other family members, school mates, church members, and dear friends that were all so special to him.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife Annie Bell Conley.
James played football for Ridgeview High School; where he met his wife Annie Bell Fredrick, they fell in love and then were married. He worked at Richard Baker Hospital for a few years before he began driving trucks for Shull Trucking for over 35 years. He continued his trucking career with Joan Fabrics which is where he retired from. After retiring he was able to return to his love of fishing, where he taught many of his grandchildren how to fish. He loved dogs and working on cars. James was always available to help his family in so many ways such as getting to the doctor or to the store to pick up groceries. He was always willing to help you with a little money if needed; but you always knew it was in his little black book because he did want his money back. He had a special kind of love for his grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
The Homecoming Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 10th, 2021 at Morning Star Baptist Church with Pastor Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his Bell.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Friday, December 10th, 2021 at Morning Star Baptist Church.
