James Martin Cosgrove, 52, of Alexis passed away Monday, July 9th, 2018 at his home. Born May 28th, 1966 he was the son James Cosgrove and Phyllis Cosgrove.
He is survived by his father, James Cosgrove and step-mother Jerry of Princeton, WV; his mother Phyllis Cosgrove of King, NC; a sister, Patricia Gupton of King, NC; and brother, Joe Cosgrove of Mt. Airy, NC. James had three step-children that he loved like his own and would do anything for, Christa Shell, Tyler Shell, and Josh Keys. Left to cherish his memory are many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. James also had a brotherhood of very close friends who would do anything to help him or his family.
James cared greatly for everyone who was close to him, and would do anything he could for those in need of his help.
A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Kirk officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
A memorial contribution may be made in James' honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
