James Dick â??J.D.â? Fulbright, Jr., 67 of Sigman Street died Thursday January 4, 2007 at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Born September 14, 1939 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the Nina Lorene Mitchem Fulbright of Hickory and the late James Dick Fulbright, Sr. An avid bowler; he was a graduate of Fred T. Foard High School and a US Air Force Veteran. Survivors in addition to his mother are two sisters, Mary Jane Shook of Hickory and Margaret F. Propst and husband Kenneth of Hickory; a brother, Dennis Fulbright and wife Patricia of Hickory, five nieces and three nephews. His father, an infant sister and a sister, Barbara Fulbright Richards preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 6, 2006 at Sardis Lutheran Church. The Rev. Pastor Robert Howard will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at the church.
