James Jett

James Virgil Jett, Jr. 56 of Hickory died Saturday, September 19th, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born December 2nd, 1958 he was the son of James Virgil Jett, Sr. and Mary Jett. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was employed by the city of Hickory for over 20 years. He was an avid deer hunter. His wife of 23 years, Jennifer Lynn Jett of the home; a son, James Virgil Jett, lll and a daughter, Kalynn Nicole Jett of Hickory; a sister, Carolyn Jett Frappier of Lincolnton; two nephews, Josh Bumgarner and Justin Bumgarner survive him. A sister, Nancy Ellen Jett, preceded him in death. The Memorial service will be 4:00 pm Friday, September 25th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clifton Black officiating. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 16 and the Marine Corps League of Catawba Valley. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 pm at the funeral home.
