James Lee Oxentine, Jr. 52 of Crossing Creek Dr. Claremont died Thursday June 5, 2008 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born November 15, 1955 he was the son of Corene Wheatley of Baltimore, MD and the late James Lee Oxentine, Sr. He was an employee of General Dynamics, an avid fisherman and enjoyed expressing himself with tattoos. He also enjoyed concerts with his dear friend Gernot. His wife, Kathryn Lee Dixon Oxentine of the home, two daughters, Laura Christina Stroud of Catawba and Nicole Ava Maria Dayton of Claremont; two sons, John Lewis Swift, Jr. of Conover and Shane Brandon Oxentine of Baltimore, MD, his step-mom, Josephine Oxentine of Newton and four grandchildren, Mya Kathryn Marie Stroud, Jayden Lee Swift, Braxton David Miller and Adriana Marie Swift survive him. A brother, Blane Wheatley preceded him in death. A Celebration of â??Daddyâ??sâ? life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Hefner officiating.
