James Pendergrass

James Richard "Toothpick" Pendergrass, 53 of Newton died Saturday, November 22nd, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1960 in Franklin County. He was the son of the late Joseph and Annie Lee Pendergrass. He is survived by his companion Tracie Sigmon of Newton, NC; a son James Pendergrass and wife Dennise of Chattanooga, TN; a daughter Miranda Pendergrass of Taylorsville, NC; five sisters Lucille Pringle of Newton, NC , Nell Deal of Newton, NC, Betty Strickland and husband Marcus of Conover, NC Jean Engle and husband Ron of Hendersonville, NC and Judy Reid of Burgaw, NC; three brothers Millard Pendergrass of Newton, NC, Patrick Pendergrass and wife Lisa of Henderson, NC, and Henry Pendergrass and wife Diann of Midway City, CA; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Lulu and Tic Tac. The funeral will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 at Covenant Baptist Church with Edwin Elmore officiating.
