James Wagner

James Edward Wagner, 71 of Newton died Thursday, July 16th, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born January 19th, 1944, he was the son of the late Owen Percy Wagner and Lois Elizabeth Sigmon Wagner. He was retired from Kroehler Furniture after 32 years. He was an avid woodworker, crafting furniture for many years. His wife of 51 years, Kay M. Wagner of the home; a son, Kenny Edward Wagner of Claremont; a grandson, Tyler Cole Wagner of Claremont; two brothers, Gary Wagner and wife Donna of Claremont and Roger Wagner and wife Renee of Hickory; a sister, Connie Peddycord and husband Roy of Claremont; two nieces, Holly Little and Kristy Hedrick and two nephews, Scott Wagner and Brett Keever survive him. A nephew, Mark Wagner preceded him in death. The funeral will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 at the funeral home.
