James Richard Walker 69 of Hickory passed away Friday, March 16th, 2018 at Trinity Ridge. Born February 3rd, 1949 he was the son of the late Rubye Glasbrooks.
Two daughters Stephanie Keener and husband Michael of Connelly Springs, Angela Finger and husband Mike of Lincolnton; three sons Barry Walker and wife Patricia of Hickory, Kevin Walker and wife Melinda of Hickory, and Jamie Walker and wife Holly of Conover; two sisters Mary Mayhew of Coeur d'Alane, ID, Jan Creson of Newton; and eleven grandchildren Jeremy, Ashley, Shawna, Tate, Garrett, Maddie, Nolan, Lagan, Molli, Kensi, and soon to arrive grandaughter Reagan survive him.
In addition to his parents his wife of 16 years, Sandra Walker, preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 19th, 2018 at Gateway Baptist church with Pastor Jerome Walker officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm at Gateway Baptist church .
