James Leroy Widener, 64, of Statesville, formerly of Virginia, passed away Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 in his home. Born, December 15th, 1958, he was the son of the late Grant William Widener and Betty Widener.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Melissa Campbell of the home; two children, James Widener of Brockton MA and Katie Widener of VA; siblings, Dennis Widener (Linda) of Maryland, Samuel Widener Saltville VA, Philip Widener (Marie) of Boston MA, Mark Widener of Marion VA, and Trish Norris (Dale) of Marion VA; and a host of many loved grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Grant William Widener and Betty Widener, he is preceded in death by a son, Sean Widener, a daughter, Shannon Widener; a grandson, James Widener; and a brother, William Grant Widener.
The visitation will be 3-4PM, Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The service will follow at 4PM in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
A graveside service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Round Hill Cemetery located on Cemetery St, Marion, VA 24354.
