Janet Cline

Janet Yates Cline, 64, of Hickory died Friday, August 9, 2024 at her residence. Born February 23rd, 1960, she was the daughter of Carl Yates Sr. and Doris Yates. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends and going to the beach. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Her mother, Doris Yates; three daughters, Laura Carter (Lucas), Allyson Cline (Ron Chavis) and Sarah Dodd (Kevin); a brother, Carl Yates Jr.; a sister, Linda Pittman; four grandchildren, Bram Carter, Brooks Chavis, Barrett Chavis and Miles Dodd; and her companion, Wade Peters survive her.

In addition to her father, her sister, Diane Miller preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Mountain View Baptist Church 4266 River Rd
Hickory, NC 28602 with Rev. Cory Smith and Pastor Steven Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 at the church, and the family will hold a private burial at Bethel United Methodist Church in Longview.

Memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center of Catawba Valley in her honor at 421 Main Ave. SW Hickory, NC 28602
