Janet Lingerfelt

Janet Leigh Shortridge Lingerfelt, 57 of Hickory made her way into the Kingdom of Heaven peacefully Friday, November 18, 2022 in the comfort of her residence, overlooking the lakeview that she called home. Born July 14th, 1965 in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of Grady Shortridge and the late Eula Mae Owens Shortridge. She relocated to North Carolina where she completed her associates degree at age 18 at Lenoir Rhyne College. Janet was the owner and operator of a private corporate aviation company working alongside her beloved husband, Danny who operates a private jet and pilot service. She was a professional and dedicated planner of customer travel. She enjoyed a reputation of "delivering" to customers making sure all schedules were met exceeding all customer expectations.

Her husband, Danny Keever Lingerfelt of the home; her father, Grady Shortridge of Catawba; a step daughter, Kimberly Rogers and husband Chris of Hickory; two step sons, Chad Lingerfelt and wife Jennifer of Hickory and Kevin Lingerfelt and wife Erica of Hickory; a brother, Darrell Shortridge of Elon, NC; six step grandchildren, Scott Lingerfelt, Landon Bradberry, Kaden Lingerfelt, Kira Bradberry, Laila Lingerfelt and Avree Lingerfelt; three great grandchildren, Grayson Lingerfelt, Karson Lingerfelt and Zelda Lingerfelt; a special nephew, Jackson Lingerfelt and her two fur babies, AnnaBelle and Bailey survive her.

Her mother, Eula Mae Shortridge preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 2:00 pm Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Hames officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm Tuesday November 22, 2022 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
