Janice Lee Ruediger, 73, of Hickory passed away Monday, July 18 at the Catawba Regional Hospice. Janice was on born on August 16, 1942 to the late James Edward Lyle and Mary Mucha Lyle of New Kensington, Pennsylvania. After raising a family in Valencia, PA, she moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she owned and operated her own country craft store. She was a talented decorator, artist, crafter and seamstress who loved books, movies and covered bridges. Above all else she was a servant to God as a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves behind two daughters Traci Dillard and Terri Faherty, son-in-law Dave Faherty, and six teenaged grandchildren. She also leaves behind a loving sister, Faye Andrzejewski of New Kensington, her daughter, Pamela Kozikowski, and son, Daniel Andrzejewski, and their spouses and children. The family is holding a private memorial. Memorials may be made to the Catawba Regional Hospice (3975 Robinson Rd. Newton, NC 28658) or the American Cancer Society. .
