Jayleigh Torres

Jayleigh Elizabeth Torres, 16 month-old infant daughter of Francisco Ochoa Torres and Heather Marie Ford, of Lincolnton, died Saturday April 22, 2006 at Duke University Medical Center from complications of a birth defect. She was born December 8, 2004 in Lincoln County. Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother Jacob Blaine Torres of the home, paternal grandparents; Jesus Torres Perez and Guadalupe Ochoa Torres of Lincolnton and her maternal grandparents; Melissa Ann Solano of Lincolnton and Richard Ford of New Jersey. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday April 25, 2006 at the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home in Startown. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the ceremony. Burial will follow in the Jenkins Startown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jayleigh E. Torres Memorial Fund, 4081 Startown Road, Newton, NC 28658.
