Jeannette Franklin

Jeannette  Franklin 77 of Catawba formerly of New Paltz, NY passed away Sunday, January 29th, 2017 peacefully at her home. She was born February 5th, 1939 the daughter of the late Harold and Alice DuBois. She was an active member of the Eastern Star throughout her adult life. She was a health care provider and became close to many of the families she served.  Two daughters, June Boice of Connelly Springs and Diane Olson of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two sons, Irving Ellis, Jr. of New Paltz, NY and Glenn Ellis of Nichols, NY; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren survive her.

In addition to her parents, her first husband, Irving Ellis, Sr.; her second husband, Mark Franklin, a grandchild and a great grandchild preceded her in death. A Celebration of Jeannette's life will be 1:00pm Friday February 3, 2017 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home. The Eastern Star will provide memorial services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitestone or Camp Gray Rock Children's Park, PO Box 97, Thomasville, NC 27361.
