Jeffrey Pope

Jeffery Wayne "Pops" Pope 70 of Claremont died Friday, June 9th, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born February 21st, 1947 he was the son of the late Jeff Pope and Theda Reitzel Pope.  A brother, Richard Allen Pope of Catawba, NC; his uncle and aunt, Helen and Jerry Reitzel of Hickory and Betty Reitzel of Long, SC; two sisters in law, Wanda Pope of Cleveland, NC and Jean Pope of Conover and numerous nieces and nephews. survive him. Two brothers, Gary Lee Pope and Tony E. Pope preceded him in death. A Memorial Service will be 4:00pm Wednesday June 21, 2017 at Mt Pisgah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem with Pastor Mike Stone officiating.  The family especially requests no fresh flowers due to allergies in the family.
