Kay Morgan, beloved wife and friend died Tuesday November  21st after a long ilness. Kay passed away peacefully at home in the loving arms of her family.
Kay is survived by her husband Terry Deese (married October 15 1996), her sister Pam Brunell and husband Jeff of Florida, Sister in Law Martha Morgan of Salisbury, Niece Danielle Morgan Cooney, her husband Michael of Denver NC, Nephew Michael Morgan and partner Jeanna Young, Great Nephew Colin Cooney of Denver NC as well as two step daughters Joanie Hollar of Newton and Jeanna Deese of Denver NC and Niece Carolyn McLeod of Newton. Kay is preceded in death by her parents Baxter and Doris Morgan of Rockwell NC and her Brother George Morgan of Salisbury.   Kay was born and raised in Rockwell NC and before moving to Newton spent many years living at Lake Norman. In her travels she developed a love for the beauty of nature and photography. Prior to her Illness Kay was working as a Real Estate appraiser and had a long career in real estate and operations management.  Kay also devoted a lot of time to the care of her parents and preservation of the rose and vegetable gardens at her family home.  Most importantly Kay spent every waking hour making a positive impact on others through her generosity, caring and wonderful spirit. *Desiderata*
A celebration of life will be planned in early spring.
