Jennifer Hoke Pope

Jennifer Hoke Pope, 61, of Hickory passed Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born July 11th, 1963 she was the daughter of Glenn Lee Hoke and Judy Matthews Hoke. To know Jennifer was to know her by many names: Bo, Woose, Momma, and many more. She packed more into life than most in her short 61 years, spending much of that time by many beaches, her favorite being Conover Beach. Along with little getaways, she cherished spending time in the mountains with the love of her life, Mark, “Paw.” You could often find her in her uniform of a ball cap, a hoodie, and matching tennis shoes in the winter, and a bathing suit in the summer, relaxing on the back porch and listening to country music.

She is survived by her spouse, Mark Huffman; mother, Judy Matthews Hoke; father, Glenn Lee Hoke and his wife, Judy; daughters, Amanda Hoke and husband Matt Davis, Sarah Gillespie and husband Thomas Gillespie, and Brittany Huffman and husband Nick Pope; sisters, Tara "Peanut" Fox, Tonya Deal and husband Dickie, Katherine Thompson; grandchildren, Daxton Pope, George Gillespie, Bristol Pope, and Ella Gillespie; and nieces and nephews Kyle Fox, Jessie Deal, Trey Deal, and Aaron Fox survive her.

Celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Duke's Restaurant and Wine Bar, 335 Main Ave SW Suite B, Hickory, NC 28602.
