Jerry Roger Parker 74 of Hickory died Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at his residence. Born Friday, December 1st, 1944, he was the son of the late Alton Boyd Parker and Mattie Inez Parker. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a Christian and a good husband and father.
His wife of 42 years, Vickie Sue Parker of the home; a daughter, Kathy Diane Parker Blakley and husband James of Hickory; two sisters, Jeannette Rosie of Columbia SC and Betty Farmer of Newnan, GA; three grandchildren, James, Krystal and Matthew survive him.
The funeral will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Varner officiating. Burial will follow at Brookford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
The family will have a gathering at the Family's home following the Burial.
