Jerry Phillips

Jerry Edward Phillips,73, of Lincolnton passed away May 18, 2024. Born December 24th, 1950, in Cleveland County. He was the son of Leonard B. Phillips and Jewel Phillips.

Jerry graduated from Lincolnton High School in 1969. He served in the Vietnam War and the military. He retired from the Air Force after 28 years of service. He also worked for the IT department of Mecklenburg County and retired in 2021.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Leonard B. Phillips, wife Brenda Jones Phillips, maternal grandparents, Ester and Perry Parker, paternal grandparents, Moody and Ellie Phillips, daughter Tracy Phillips, brothers, Bruce Clark and Jimmy Phillips.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ava Williams Phillips of Lincolnton, NC. Sons; Shawn Phillips (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, Florida, Jason Parsons (Kim) of Conover, NC, Chad Parsons (Rena) of Laramie, Wyoming. Mother, Jewel Parker Phillips of Shelby, NC, sister, Sherrie Thompson, Grandchildren; Kylie Phillips, Haley Phillips, Austin Phillips, Nicole Parsons, and Cody Parsons.

Jerry was a loving husband, great father and grandfather, and a great friend to all.
